Leanthia Pacquette Lewis

Candidate for the Grand Bay Constituency

Leanthia Pacquette LewisBorn to Mr. Israel Pacquette and Mrs. Veronica Henderson Pacquette the 8th day of December, 1968, Leanthia Pacquette Lewis is now happily married to Clement Peter Lewis with 3 children – Tariq, Ninka and Carl. She was employed in Roseau, but has always been in her community Grand Bay spending time with family and friends.  

Having attended the Dominica Grammar School where she obtained her GCE O Levels, and subsequently the Dominica Sixth form College, Lewis continued to pursue an Executive Diploma in Management from University of West Indies and Post Graduate Certificate in Project Planning, Appraisal and Management from the University of Bradford (Trinidad).  She pursuing a masters degree in Business Management.

She has also had extensive training in Auditing fields, Development Training, Project Formulation and Financial Analysis.

Lewis has devoted twenty-two (22) years to Government service, mostly at the Audit department, but also in the Forestry division, Ministry of Agriculture, General Post Office, Magistrate's Court and Ministry of Housing among many others, leaving her well acquainted with Government policy and protocol. She also gave voluntary services during the national parade, at the official opening of the house of assembly and at other Government official functions.

She also lends her time to local as well as international development societies such as the International Project Management Association (IPMA), the American Society for Advancement of Project Management (asapm), the International Development Evaluation Association (IDEAS) and the Dominica Public Service Union Women's group.

She is presently providing consultancy services in project management training for the International Project Management Association in conjunction with Proportions of the United States of American. Mrs. Lewis recently opened her own small business named “PACLEWIS CONSULTANCY AND AGENCY SERVICES.”

She had the opportunity to be class representative at College and University.

Her experience in Project Management Auditing afforded her the opportunity to interact with all communities she was assigned to monitor and evaluate all Government projects.
